Washington Cartoonist Launches "CopyRider" Campaign to Protect The Rights of Artist, Authors, and Musicians in the Age of AI

Dan Youra, a long-time conservative cartoonist and cultural commentator, has launched a grassroots campaign—The Copy Rider—to rally support for creators’ rights in the age of artificial intelligence. Blending satire, Western Americana, and constitutional values, Youra’s campaign takes aim at Big Tech’s growing influence over art and originality.

With decades of artwork and thousands of political cartoons to his name, Youra has assumed the role of “The Copy Rider”—a cowboy character defending liberty, land, and legacy on behalf of artists, writers, and creative thinkers.

“We’re watching a gold rush where tech giants try to mine human creativity and replace it with soulless algorithms,” Youra said. “It’s time to ride against that tide.”

The campaign seeks both symbolic and financial support from fans and like-minded defenders of freedom. Donations will fund advocacy and outreach.
